Romney Gets The Santorum Treatment

Courtesy of the CrateGate scandal, Mitt Romney is now the target of a Google-bomb campaign too. The back-story:
We all know the sad story of Seamus, the Romney family Irish Setter who was strapped to the top of the Romney station wagon for at least one 12-hour trip to Canada – and who at least once pooped himself in fear and, after being given an “emotion-free” hosing down by Mitt Romney, was placed once more atop the car for more terrifying hours on the highway.

Wall Street Backs Romney

In order to thwart legislation intended to prevent a repeat of the 2008 financial meltdown, Wall Street firms have donated twice as much to the Romney campaign as they've given to Obama.
The financial services industry is poised to set records in one arena in 2012: politics. The beleaguered sector is pumping tens of millions of dollars into campaigns and newly dominant super PACS as one of Wall Street’s own seeks the White House and the industry looks to roll back key parts of the Dodd-Frank financial reforms. The goal is to oust a president and some members of Congress whom many bankers view as openly hostile toward them. Employees of securities and investment firms have already given $52.8 million to candidates and party committees in the 2012 cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That makes it the No. 1 industry, up from fourth place in 2010 and third in the 2008 campaign.
The biggest donors are a who's who of hedge funds and banking giants.

Dems Fire Romney Glitter-Bomber

After he was tackled by the Secret Service and charged with several crimes for glitter-bombing Mitt Romney, the Colorado Senate Democrats have fired their unpaid intern.
Colorado Senate majority chief of staff John Cevette says Smith was terminated Thursday. He was interning as part of a course at the University of Colorado Denver. Some activists have used "glitter bombing" to protest politicians' opposition to same-sex marriage. Smith has said glittering Romney was worth it, but he worries he could be expelled from school.
There have been no glitter-bombings since Smith's arrest.

Charges For Romney Glitter-Bomber

After being detained by the Secret Service, a Colorado student faces several charges for glitter-bombing Mitt Romney.
University of Colorado Boulder student Peter Smith, 20, told Reuters he threw glitter at Romney after the candidate's speech in Colorado on Tuesday to protest against his "general political philosophy," and not only his stance on gay marriage. A CNN video of the incident shows Romney shaking hands with supporters in an auditorium when the glitter is thrown at him and Secret Service agents usher him away. Smith was escorted out by other agents and local authorities, Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie said. Denver authorities detained Smith for questioning on Tuesday night, and he was cited on misdemeanor charges of creating a disturbance, throwing a missile and an unlawful act on school property, Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
Smith faces up to six months in jail.
